I admit that I haven't seen a lot of Todd Walker prior to this year, but he looks pretty worthless out there. In the field he let a popup drop for a double. At bat it's been all strikeouts and weak dribblers. What is this guy supposed to be good at again?

Zambrano looks pretty strong for this early in the season. He's already hitting 94. Can't throw strikes yet, though.

He's always been decent defensively while hitting around .300 and slugging 10-15 HR every year. It was only two innings. Baker, much like Bobby Cox, likes players who've been around him for a few years. I wouldn't be surprised if Grudzielanek starts there all year.

Every columnist I've read so far this spring at ESPN and other sites has said that by mid-season, Walker would be starting at 2B and Hawkins would be the closer. I think they're underestimating Grud and Borowski. And overestimating Walker and Hawkins.

Grud hits around .315 with 10 or so HR, so not much difference in those two at the plate. And the G man definitely seems better in the field.

Francis Beltran isn't looking good so far.
