      No, he's not.

      I'd say Angel Guzman, Juan Cruz, Wellemeyer, and maybe even the Reds castoff are all ahead of him at this point.

      And there's only one pitching spot open on the Cubs staff.

        I'd say Angel Guzman, Juan Cruz, Wellemeyer, and maybe even the Reds castoff are all ahead of him at this point.

        And there's only one pitching spot open on the Cubs staff.

            Angel Guzman is in terms of talent, but he won't be ready for another two months recovering from shoulder surgery.

                        I think it'll be Juan Cruz unless they trade him before the end of spring training. Wellemeyer will probably start out in the Iowa rotation along side Beltran, Guzman ( when healthy ), Mitre, and Anderson ( I think he has a clause in his contract where he'll be released if he doesn't get called up to the majors before a certain time though).
