I wonder if the 2-3 month figures also takes into account rehabbing after the injury has fully healed?

I think this is just the start (well, technically Bernie was the start) of a series of injuries for this team. Ruben Sierra and Travis Lee will probably be in the opening day lineup. Tony Clark is not expected to make the major-league team.

Now, with this injury does that mean NY tries to get a legitamate second basemen or do they want a better outfielder? Jose Vidro or Magglio Ordonez may be getting a call soon...

I think if Sheff starts the year on the DL, Clark makes the team. Even if Sheff goes north, there is an outside chance he could make it- basically I think it'd be between him and Sierra. Clark is a better fielder and more versatile, although Sierra is a better hitter.
