I think the O's were more of a balanced team though. Tampa is very pitching heavy.

I'll make this the official play-in games thread so we don't have to have a separate Wild Card Gimmick Bull**** Nonsense thread for Tuesday and Wednesday.

I think that Perez will shine in this game. I'll be there; I expect that the Rangers will be revitalized by their recent streak of wins and the return of NC17, and thus I expect the Rangers to win.

Rays got this. I'll put my money on Price, and their sneaky good lineup.

Hoping Cueto can pitch a great game against Pittsburgh. Wondering if Billy Hamilton will get in the game, because Dusty basically didn't use him at all this week for whatever stupid reason.

None of these teams are limping. They had to play .750 ball the last few weeks just to force a tiebreaker.

I like Texas with homefield. That is always the biggest advantage. Plus Texas has Price's number and Texas has the righties to counter Price....PLUS Cruz is back!

I'd imagine Soto has to get the start tomorrow for the game he had today and with AJ not being the greatest vs lefties. I think Gentry starts in CF too.

I like the Pirates odds in this one. At home....Liriano will neutralize the lefties, plus Pitt has 2 solid lefties in the pen. And how much can you trust Cueto after him being gone?

I'd almost start Hamilton, because Choo is awful vs lefties. Bring Choo off the bench or something.

Never even thought of that. Good point.

For the sake of variety though, I wouldn't mind seeing the Rays play the Indians. No matter, I want the Indians to go through anyway. Don't know which team they would match up better against. Since they wouldn't have to face Price, then maybe Tampa.

Who can the Tribe roll out as their starter? If it's not Jimenez than that game probably will be a slugfest if Texas makes it in.

Danny Salazar is going to start.

Kazmir and Masterson are also available to pitch.

Really, the Indians could start anyone. Their pitching has been incredible and I'm confident in all of them.

...Well, almost, if they started McAllister, I would be wary.

I love the Reds and the team they assembled, but Liriano could absolutely stifle us. I just hope the stats go out the window and the Reds can get to him while Cueto shuts them down for us. He pitched well since coming back, and he's probably our most talented pitcher. I would have loved Latos to be able to go because I believe he fits that horse role so many World Series winners have had, but as it is he's not even available for tomorrow night's game.

Interesting to learn David Price has a career ERA over 10 in Texas. Pulling for the Rangers tonight even though the Red Sox pitching would probably line up better against Tampa. In the end my dislike for Joe Madden is the deciding factor.

                              Go Rangers!
