Sure, I haven't seen enough of Fernandez or Puig. Meaning a full sample size, but if this is indication of what their gonna look like going forward. Then Hell yes.

The problem with Stanton is he hits homeruns but has low avg. This year he hit .249 24 HR 62 RBI 140 K's Not a guy i would start a team with.

That was mainly because he spent alot of time on the DL in 2013. Still impressive numbers for only 116 games played. I think he'll bounce back and have his best season yet in 2014, if healthy. Keep note fantasy owners lol.

All that being said, I wouldn't start a franchise with him though.

Yeah but this is where I think the steroid era has skewed our thinking. How many .300/30 HR/100 RBI guys do we see now, especially young guys? Not that I'm necessarily disagreeing with you, but his lack of durability would be enough put me off more than his low batting average. Jose Bautista is hailed for his production and he normally bats around .250.

I think we're going to soon get used to guys putting up "normal" offensive numbers again, closer to ones put up before around 1993. To remind everyone of how crazy things were during what I consider the heart of the juiced era (1993-2007) Miguel Cabrera's triple crown winning season OPS of .999 was bested 119 times in that 15 year span!

Mike Trout, Robinson Cano, or Tulo.

Trout, and it's not even close. And I got mad love for Cano, my favorite player.

Joe Mather was mentioned as a joke, not Joe Mauer.

                    I'd definitely take Harper.

                      Offensively - Trout, no question.
Pitching - Tough one but think I would go Strasburg.

I understand that everyone has an opinion, but I don't see how it's not Trout. There's really no convincing argument to pick anyone else, unless you REALLY value a dominant ace like Kershaw. Now if you were building around a team of favorite players, I could see it being someone else. But if this is a discussion of who you would start a team with as a GM, it's gotta be Trout.

Harper is the only other guy in the discussion to me due to age and power upside.

I wasn't being serious with Mauer, aging and injury prone, no thank you.

Trout would be my obvious pick.. I was just trying to throw some other candidates out there. Tulo is a bit injury prone, but he'd be my 2nd.

I love Trout but position player wise, I'd have to have Harper. I think Trout is the better athlete and that translates to his baseball skills but I think Harper is the better baseball player. On top of that I love his work ethic and his grinder-type mentality that's nearly impossible to beat.

Pitching wise, I'd probably have to build around Kershaw. Good stuff, lefthanded, durable and experienced... Virtually everything you want in a pitcher.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Harper can grind and faceplant and hustle all he wants, Trout is the better player.
