Unfortunately, you have to pay to get most of the good information. I bought their 2004 prospect handbook, which has all this info. It covers the top 30 prospects for each team. Pretty handy guide, especially useful for editing rosters in MVP!

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> I bought it for MVP also. So far I have created about 175 prospects.

I'm a subscriber to Baseball America, but what exactly is the prospect handbook like? Does it give like grades to each prospect, and a full scouting report, not just a little blurb?

Its an actual book, so, an ID and password won't really help you there. Baseball America is an actual magazine, and if your really into baseball, its a really good magazine. If your a subcriber to the magazine, the online part comes free.

If you have ESPN Insider, BA and ESPN have affiliated and Insider has had a few articles from BA, including the ranks of the organizations.

I'm really looking forward to 2005-2006 for the Brewers, that's when alot of their top prospects should be getting to the Majors. I hope they can come through tho, because people around here have high, high expectations for them.

isn't that kind of the wrong idea? especially in baseball? I mean, so few minor leaguers pan out compared to the number who do. Even 'can't miss' prospects.

And, to a certain extent, isn't having a lot of 'decent' prospects who could pan out better than having one or two 'great' ones?

At least as far as building a good team.

isn't that kind of the wrong idea? especially in baseball? I mean, so few minor leaguers pan out compared to the number who do. Even 'can't miss' prospects.

And, to a certain extent, isn't having a lot of 'decent' prospects who could pan out better than having one or two 'great' ones?

At least as far as building a good team.
