    • All series are three games
    • Four series (two home, two road) against each divisional opponent (48 games)
    • Two series (one home, one road) against each intraleague opponent (60 games)
    • One series with each team from an interleague division on a rotating basis (15 games)
    • One series with an interleague rival each season (3 games)

In years where the interleague rival is part of the rotation, you'd play that team twice (so when the AL East plays the NL East, the Yankees and Mets would play two series instead of one)

With three-game series, each team has one off day each week - either a Monday or a Thursday. I'm assuming the logistics would work, but didn't really delve that deep into it.
This gets to my 1 real scheduling complaint about baseball. I think everybody in the same division should play the same schedule and inter league should be an easy rotation to understand every year.

Count me in the minority on the 2nd wild card, I like it. If you don’t want to be in a 1 game playoff then win your division. It also helped prevent the wild card team from resting going into the playoffs.

Can go the level higher on that too.

If you wanna get into the playoffs then win the wild card spot.

          126-game schedule?

No way owners go for that reduced revenue. That means ticket prices would go up probably 5-10% to cover the lost revenue.

Marlins fans in shambles as ticket prices increase from $13 to $14.

Should of been a one time thing. Makes it much more special. That game was perfect. No need for another game. Would be nearly impossible to top that one.

The movie never needed a sequel and neither does this game.

I'm ready to move a team there or have an expansion team play in Iowa so we can see at least 81 games a year at the Field of Dreams.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Just combine the A's and Marlins franchises and make them the Iowa Cornshuckers.

Hey, there were 6,000 people at the game last night. Now the majority were Braves fans, but there were still at least 1,000 people there wearing Marlins gear.

I do think it would be cool if MLB did one game a year like this, but instead it was a barnstorming type of thing. Maybe next year the game is in some small town in upstate NY, the next year in some small town in Alabama, etc. they could build the park, play the game, and then hand it over to the community….make all gate proceeds go to local schools or something. Would be a way for MLB to be played in places it’s never been while giving back to the local community.

I love that idea. How about a game right there in Cooperstown.

Who needs a sequel when you can have a whole series? Lol

Peacock has given a straight-to-series order to Field of Dreams, based on the Oscar-nominated film, from The Good Place creator Michael Schur.

I did not realize the game was so successful as far as viewership. Most watched regular season game in 16 years. Of course they were going to cash in.

This would be incredible simply as a throwback similar to hockey’s outdoor games, but adding the extra bit of charity for the community really pushes it over the edge. Someone get Manfred on the line.

To me the Winter Classic was a can't miss every year no matter who played until it started getting watered down every year with multiple stadium series games.

They can keep it up to a degree to keep it interesting and new, they just can't go overboard and water it down.

They have multiple a year and it usually involves the same group of teams for the main one.

If MLB has no problem with anyone from Colorado to Tampa to Cleveland to anyone like that also being involved, it could be something cool for them.

If the same team gets involved once every 3 or 4 years, it'll quickly lose its appeal.
