1. LOL at the sound dude playing "Let it go" to the upset batter
2. I'm 99% sure the technology and subsequent strike zone enforced at the MLB level would be WAY better and more accurate
I don't expect this to be another Questec thing from two decades ago.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Here is what I still don't understand about the automated strike zones, and this includes the ones we see from broadcast packages on TV.
Do they account for stance height? I can imagine that they have a version that goes based off the player's height (so Altuve and Judge won't have the same one because when they come up it adjusts for a 5'6" person as opposed to a 6'7" person), but what about if they have a very low Rickey Henderson stance versus a very tall Craig Counsell stance? Does the automated strike zone account for that?
I want to see someone break the system, and during a plate appearance fold into a hermit-like state while batting, forcing the umpire to call based on what the system says. If it can't determine a strike from the inch of height that's given, then he can't call it. That would be a nice loophole to work in. If it doesn't do the "letters to knees" zone or whatever it's called, then it's broken and shouldn't be used.
As you can see... either way, it shouldn't be used.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I’m going to the game on Friday and Saturday, my first games in Pittsburgh. I’ve heard it’s one of the better stadiums to see a game at and it looks like it’s in a cool area so I’m pretty excitedComment

MLB to return to 9 inning doubleheaders in 2022, unless there is strong pushback from the MLBPAI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

MLB: Vegas 'viable' for A's if no deal in Oakland

One week out from the vote on the A’s term sheet, the city and team are still far apart in negotiations.

MLB All-Star Game gets a modest TV viewership boost on Fox despite political shadow
Major League Baseball and Fox Sports got an average of 8.24 million domestic viewers for Tuesday’s All-Star Game at Coors Field in Denver.
That’s up from the 8.14 million averaged in 2019, the last time it was played. Three years ago, it averaged 8.69 million viewers. The 2020 game was cancelled because of the pandemic.
So, this year’s U.S. audience was basically flat — and that’s not a bad thing these days.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment
