How does housing work with frequent call-ups and roster turnover?

I'm guessing they'll rent out blocks of apartments for the season and just rotate players in and out

I bet those apartments will essentially turn into that. Especially the high A and double A teams. Most of those guys are just coming out of college, that's what they know

Latest pivotal vote on Oakland's effort to keep the Athletics in Oakland is today.

The five members of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors are in the hot seat Tuesday. What's on their agenda is a non-binding vote that, if approved, would funnel property taxes to help develop a huge $12 billion waterfront development. It would have a $1 billion A's ballpark as the centerpiece. Caption: 6p - Jeff As. How crucial is the county's vote? Reporters asked Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf that question Friday. MORE ON NEWS 3 |Atlanta Dream hire away Las Vegas Aces GM Dan Padover.

The East Bay future of Major League Baseball's Oakland A's hangs in the balance Tuesday as the Alameda County Board of Supervisors were preparing to take a key vote on the proposed waterfront ballpark at the Howard Terminal.

"I believe this vote has been the largest unknown in this entire period," Schaaf said, adding, "but without certainty of the county's participation, we cannot craft a complete development agreement and that is the biggest job ahead of us."

This is all part of the term sheet the city created themselves as a version of what the Athletics wanted, and they could find themselves without anything viable if Alameda passes.
Is a deal possible if the county does not take part?

"It is not. No, not the one that was proposed by the city. It depends on the county and that's a critical component of the funding," team President Dave Kaval told me on August 30.

Agenda indicates it will be the 3rd item discussed for possible action after 12pm PST (pg 17).

I’ll stand with my longstanding prediction that the Board of Supervisors will approved the EIFD reso. I’ve been saying 4-0 with Supe Keith Carson abstaining. I’ve heard predictions of 3-2 in favor and maybe a unanimous vote. All positives outcomes for the project. #alcomtg
The Oakland City Council vote on the HT Environmental Impact Report, which is likely to come before the end of the year, also looks very positive. The votes are there, according to my sources. Put these two votes in the win column and it’s like being up 3-1 in the World Series.

                  Edit: Vote passed 4-1

Pretty much. They are desperate to get segments on the daily opinion shows. It won't work.

DL to IL is an understandable change, as weird as it still is to say IL.

But bullpen changing would be weird. Anyone even associate this at all with animals in any way?
