Speaking of random games. I was watching a bit of Fox Baseball Turn Back the Clock game (from my birthday no less!) where they go through the history of how the game was broadcasted throughout the game. They go from 1939 to the then present of 2000 and is in 4 parts. I won't link to the videos for obvious reasons but if interested LMK through PM.

Rays getting a new stadium near downtown Tampa.

It will be in the Channelside/Ybor area. Near Amile Arena/Ice Palace. The only holdup is the Rays are waiting on the mayoral race in St. Pete to finish so they can submit a site. But I believe they are pretty much set on the Tampa site....

Re: MLB Off-Topic
That's my question as well. Hopefully if they get this stadium built it'll be in the right area or it'll be another huge expense for a team that can't draw fleas.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

That's good to hear regarding the location of the Rays new ballpark. One of the things i've heard is that most of the fanbase is in the greater Tampa area rather than way out where the Trop is.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I don't see the point of Tampa or Miami having a baseball team.
The Marlins moved to a new nice ballpark and they still can't draw fans. Do we expect Tampa to be any different?
And it's not like either franchise is God awful either. Marlins have two world series titles and the Rays have been competitive at least making a WS appearance in their short history.
Tampa is really Yankees town. And most people I know could care less about the Rays or Marlins. The South is Braves territory and has been for a while.
They need to move those two franchises somewhere they can be appreciated.

MLB has rays and marlins doing poorly in attendance.
NFL has dolphins and Bucs doing fine, but jags suck.
NBA with heat and magic I think are both fine
NHL has Tampa doing fine, but panthers attendance is horrible.
How many other states in pro sports have teams in at least 2 teams doing this poorly in attendance?Comment
