Out of curiosity, and personally I don't find what I saw to be of an egregious enough act... but say that Harper hypothetically signed with the Giants, and then this video surfaced... would he and Boras be able to provide enough probable cause to dismantle his contract if he didn't want to play under a CEO with this kind of marring on his record? Maybe say he was sold a bill of goods on the greatness that is SF and the organization, and this goes against that principle? Just curious.
No, conduct of an employee wouldn't be something that would be considered a breach of contract.

Yeah, after watching it a few times this isn't as bad as I thought at first. It's two adults arguing in public. Of course the man is always gonna come across looking worse in 2019 optics.

About the same. The funny thing is we have a billionaire trying to wrestle a cell phone away from a grown woman in a "Juice Shop" alleyway and the woman is in full-on "oh my god!!!" mode like he's swinging a pick-axe at her. It's a 4/10 on the domestic violence scale and an 11/10 on an owners doing impulsive things in public scale.

I usually err on the side of women but while it looks bad, he did hit her and it almost looks like he was bracing her as she went down. It's embarrassing to no end but this isn't the worst thing i've ever seen.

          belated edit: DIDN'T hit her.

I'm more on the side of embarrassing as well, but given how people are in 2019 it's just a bad look. Ten years ago, this would be a non-story. Fifteen years ago, this would have been a "private matter" because we actually could be out in public without the scrutiny of others being able to witness your every move.

This just might not bode well for him is all.

Yeah, nice to see some are setting the bar as high as "well he didn't hit her", but generally maybe you just shouldn't get into physical altercations with your wife? Wrestling her to the ground in public to forcefully take something from her that she clearly doesn't want you to have isn't exactly a great thing to be doing and he deserves all the **** he's getting.

If he's like that in public, what do you think he's like behind closed doors?

This. If your response starts with “eh well he didn’t actually hit her” then just stop whatever you were going to say and reevaluate.

In a more lighthearted topic, I fell into a Youtube rabbit hole and I totally forgot this (i'm being a bit obtuse for the purpose of the trivia question) about a certain player.

Anyways, who was the catcher that caught Stephen Strasburg's MLB debut?

                      Was it Brian Schneider?

EDIT - nope...wow, I looked it up and hadn't remembered that one.

Yeah it's one of those answers that you totally don't remember or expect. If someone doesn't have the right answer by 5 PM EST i'll post a hint.

I don't think this is in any way the answer (could be, who knows), but your question sparked a curiosity of mine:

Wasn't Bryce Harper drafted as a catcher?

I remember when they were mentioning prospects once that they were touting the Nationals bringing up a stud pitcher-catcher combo, and I believe that it was Strasburg-Harper.

Anyway, I can't even remember if Harper came up the same year as Strasburg, but I was surprised when I saw him playing center field instead of catching at the time, wondering if he would alternate. Turns out he just does the former now.

You'd be wrong but that's interesting if true about Harper being scouted as a catcher.

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw that he played a couple years in Washington at the end of his career. He platooned with Wilson Ramos.
