Re: MLB Off-Topic
About the same. The funny thing is we have a billionaire trying to wrestle a cell phone away from a grown woman in a "Juice Shop" alleyway and the woman is in full-on "oh my god!!!" mode like he's swinging a pick-axe at her. It's a 4/10 on the domestic violence scale and an 11/10 on an owners doing impulsive things in public scale.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I usually err on the side of women but while it looks bad, he did hit her and it almost looks like he was bracing her as she went down. It's embarrassing to no end but this isn't the worst thing i've ever seen.
belated edit: DIDN'T hit her.Last edited by SPTO; 03-02-2019, 10:09 AM.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I'm more on the side of embarrassing as well, but given how people are in 2019 it's just a bad look. Ten years ago, this would be a non-story. Fifteen years ago, this would have been a "private matter" because we actually could be out in public without the scrutiny of others being able to witness your every move.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I wonder why he wanted his phone back so badly. Hmm?

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Yeah, nice to see some are setting the bar as high as "well he didn't hit her", but generally maybe you just shouldn't get into physical altercations with your wife? Wrestling her to the ground in public to forcefully take something from her that she clearly doesn't want you to have isn't exactly a great thing to be doing and he deserves all the **** he's getting.
If he's like that in public, what do you think he's like behind closed doors?Comment

This. If your response starts with “eh well he didn’t actually hit her” then just stop whatever you were going to say and reevaluate.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
In a more lighthearted topic, I fell into a Youtube rabbit hole and I totally forgot this (i'm being a bit obtuse for the purpose of the trivia question) about a certain player.
Anyways, who was the catcher that caught Stephen Strasburg's MLB debut?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Wasn't Bryce Harper drafted as a catcher?
I remember when they were mentioning prospects once that they were touting the Nationals bringing up a stud pitcher-catcher combo, and I believe that it was Strasburg-Harper.
Anyway, I can't even remember if Harper came up the same year as Strasburg, but I was surprised when I saw him playing center field instead of catching at the time, wondering if he would alternate. Turns out he just does the former now.Last edited by Blzer; 03-02-2019, 03:17 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I'll guess Pudge Rodriguez because people forget that he played for Washington. Don't know if the timeline matches or not.Boston Red Sox

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw that he played a couple years in Washington at the end of his career. He platooned with Wilson Ramos.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
