The Falcons lowered beer (and food) prices when they moved into Mercedes Benz Stadium. A beer there is $5, and there haven’t been any issues I’m aware of.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Even in stands too like I mentioned. Some drunk fan can be yelling stuff all game, and people could be blocking others views taking pics in the middle of the aisle, but their biggest concern is a person touching the top of the wall infront of them (leaning over I get,but touching it?).Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Don't think it's been mentioned, but MLB eliminating waiver deadline. July is the only deadline.
Sounds like 26 man rosters starting in 2020 also happening.
Shorter between inning breaks also happening. Not sure when that goes in effect.Comment

A three-batter minimum and roster expansion to 26 are happening in 2020 while a single trade deadline and All-Star Game Election Day are joining the $1M Home Run Derby winner’s bonus in 2019, sources tell ESPN. News on the MLB/MLBPA deal coming Thursday: https://t.co/b7yvvVdxMd********

Two great changes followed by one ridiculous, awful, insane one---the three batter minimum.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Thinking a bit about this 3-batter minimum thing...
Pros: fewer pitching changes, more emphasis on good pitchers instead of specialists, batting averages should go up a little bit/strikeouts should go down a little bit (more balls in play), fewer appearances by some guys (?) so perhaps a reduced likelihood of injuries, this agreement might be a sign that a labor strike in 2021 is actually avoidable
Cons: don't like that we'll need to keep track of which number batter this RP is on--seems like a hassle, a step backward in the strategy of the game, making teams use their bullpen with one hand tied behind its back--literally, this paves the way for more asinine pace of play rules to keep being added, teams WILL find a way to exploit this and fake injuries and such
I would like for teams to be able to use some number of their allotted "mound visits" to sub out a pitcher before facing 3 batters in critical scenarios (imagine having Josh Hader warm to face Anthony Rizzo but the guy before Hader hasn't met his batter quota yet). I think I would rather have the pitch clock because it would be less invasive toward late inning game strategy.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

The biggest con is it being an unnecessary regulation dictating how teams have to use their players, which can very well cause major detriment in results of games.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I personally hate mid-inning pitcher changes, so I'm wiling to be open minded about the change depending on how it's implemented. I've never been a fan of those lefty specialists who only come in for one batter, it's incredibly dull, grinds the game to a halt and it's frankly giving a job to a guy who really doesn't deserve one. If a guy can't get both lefties and righties out then he doesn't belong in the majors.
I'm hoping the 3 batter minimum doesn't carry over between innings though, as frankly it makes no difference if you swap pitchers between innings. (also makes it a bit more tactical as to whether you gamble to bring in a specialist to get you out of the inning, when if they fail you're stuck with them for another 2 batters). It would also mess with pinch hitting in the NL, does my reliever have to bat just because he only faced 2 hitters so far?Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I'm not even thinking about strategy here, but I just don't want to see somebody put in a pitcher who apparently doesn't have it at all that night, and throws twelve straight balls because he can't find the plate. The manager is sitting there, going: "What the **** man, I can't even pull the guy out still he faces three batters."
I don't like that it's taking effect this year though, because there are specialists on some teams right now. That's why some pitchers are signed. This should take effect one or two years from now, not two weeks before the upcoming season.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Yeah, I just caught that on SportsCenter and tried to come back and edit it here, but some of y'all are just too fast to post back in time haha.
I must've confused it with one of the other rules that is taking effect this year.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I don't know why people think this is removing strategy from the game.
If anything, it just goes through a different strategy. Do you really trust this guy to get all 3 batters out? This other guy has problems with the first batter, but he's dominated the other 2. Etc.Boston Red Sox

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I don't think I'll ever be a fan of restricting with teams can do on the field. The 26 player roster doesn't even make as much sense anymore because you can't even use as many pitchers anymore
