Gotta feel vindicated when you’ve been banging this drum (YES!) and it all turns out to be true. I’d be ripping Houston apart at every opportunity too.

I predict the sale of wastebaskets will increase tenfold when Houston is in town across the nation. This is your chance to invest in garbage!

Someone said it’s funny Houston only got 1 ring out of this, but they made another and got to the brink, and the year they didn’t another cheating team won it all. Boston really seems to be getting a pass, but if that report ever comes out I can see the ire being directed at them too. Houston has handled this so terribly, Red Sox kind of were able to get out in front and fire Cora but now they’re kinda in limbo. Have any of their players said anything? Some guys have been saying a lack of leadership was a culprit in allowing this over the line cheating to go on, but if the same thing happened in Boston... I don’t think it’s about leadership. It’s about greed and winning at all costs. Let’s not pretend all players are some saints, in fact I’d venture to say most would have participated in this without a word. But don’t let me catch you walking across my mound...

Altuve didn’t steal the MVP from Judge because even with the sign stealing Judge had a better season. The voters stole Judge’s award, don’t let them off the hook.

He’s a little wacky, kinda an internet person, but he ain’t wrong and he’s passionate about the game he plays and how he wants it grown and portrayed.

He’s the type of character that should be getting pushed. We see these players every day for 6 months and basically have the summer to themselves and yet they’re most anonymous of any of the athletes in the big 4 sports... besides hockey, which basically doesn’t exist in the US (sadly).

Correa on Altuve:

The few times that the trash can was banged was without his consent and he would go inside the clubhouse and inside the dugout to whoever was banging the trash can and he would get pissed. He would get mad. He would say, “I don’t want this. I can’t hit like this. Don’t you do that to me.” He played the game clean.

The bangs that are on Twitter or whatever, that shows it. Altuve played clean the whole year. When you look at Altuve’s numbers on the road, he hit .400 on the road (.381 actually, compared to .311 at home). He didn’t cheat nobody of the MVP. He earned that MVP. He’s a six-time all-star, three-time batting champion, MVP, five-time Silver Slugger. He’s been doing this for a long time.

I'm sure the Montreal fans would double the Tampa attendance the first few years but after that I see them back in the same 1998-2004 boat. in fact, Tampa's attendance is far superior to Montreal's 1998-2004 numbers. careful what you ask for: you might just get it. and in 15 years time we can be nostalgic for the Tampa fans to have a major league team again lol
