    Re: MLB Off-Topic

Seen a bunch of players speak out who aren’t thrilled with how things have gone down. If anyone was going to play the “it’s all in the game” card, it would be them.

I mean, of course it can’t be taken back now, it’s history. But at least show some legitimate regret. The Astros, owner on down, don’t give a ****. They’ll get the comeuppance though, including the L the Nationals hung on them last year.

This is why I ultimately blame Manfred. Commissioners office knew and did nothing until Fiers spoke up publicly.

Don’t know if I’d strip WS or give any lengthy suspensions but big fines should definitely be given to every Astros player.

I won’t be surprised either when some pitcher beans an Astro and ends up being fined for it while they’ve got off Scott free.

Yeah I’m already against any Yankees giving those clowns any free bases.
Im glad none of the players seem genuinely remorseful. They did what they were supposed to do, whatever they could get away with to win.

that's why you just give 'em a little brushback chin music. dont hit 'em but definitely give them more to think about.

also, almost proud of Tony Kemp. had to be tempting to participate, especially when you're hitting isn't exactly setting the league on fire.

Good to know that Bud Selig included the "head in the sand" and "look the other way" modules when he was grooming Rob Manfred for the commissioner role.

It's either take the money or the title away. None of this makes sense. Literally the owner said it didn't impact the game. And then moments later says he never said that [emoji23]. That's crazy!

This aftermath is making it worst! I don't think this will die. But the stats will tell all this year. But you know what's really crazy... They were cheating. And only won one world series.

Cue the Astros players hiding behind the "it's us vs the world, and that makes us tighter" mentality next season when they are booed loudly everywhere they go. Because "the world" made them do what they did.

make it go away, cant take anymore Asstros talk!

on the other hand, Hollywood says there is no such thing as bad publicity. and this has been watercooler talk all off-season, even though it is still a black-eye to people who truly love the sport. but I've heard so many talking about this, who normally don't follow any sports and wouldn't know a bunt from a punt. so I do wonder if this will translate to more eyeballs on Houston games this season, from non-sports types.

Have been seeing people saying the Astros will get thrown at now and all that but I think something many of those people are forgetting is...the Astros have pitchers too. Very likely that their teammates will have their backs. It could happen but I doubt it becomes a thing, the baseballs will start flying the other way as well. If a team or pitcher decides to start throwing at Astro’s then their own hitters will probably get it back. Might still be worth it to some but I don’t think that’s very smart.

I think this is the first time in history 29 teams claim ''we wuz robbed''. instead of taking Houston's WS trophy away, MLB should just present a 2017 WS trophy for every team. I mean, that won't cheapen 2017 any more than the Asstros already have.
