Like I've said before about other horrible name changes...somebody actually got paid to come up with that.

      Hilarious mascot though.

Reminds me of the baby from Roger Rabbit.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

But someone was responsible for picking the "best" names out of all fan submissions.

Blue Jays radio PBP man Jerry Howarth just found out a week ago that he has prostate cancer. He will be having surgery soon.

This has to be the suckiest year I can remember.

So fans submitted who knows how many submissions, and then those same fans somehow came to a conclusion of the top 7 names to then vote upon?

I'm guessing fans also created the contest too?

There you go, you finally got us. Someone got paid to start the contest.

Nobody got paid to submit Baby Cakes, nobody got paid to make Baby Cakes the winning submission.

As for the bolded, that's EXACTLY how it works. They hold a vote amongst all the entries, the Top __ then get a separate vote, then the one with the most votes wins.

And I guess someone got paid to make the logos for the winning entry.

More people thought Verlander was the best pitcher than Porcello, but Porcello won the award.

                            That reminds me of something.
