Maddux is my favorite pitcher of all time. I doubt he's picked up a baseball since retiring, but it's awesome to see him out there again.

I love Kris Bryant, but man I don't like that swing. As long as it gets the Cubbies the results though, I guess.

Yeah, he's certainly not had much success with that swing. I really hope he changes it.

I can't see (better word: afford!) paying $100+ for the subscription to watch a team in my home market. More so, I really enjoy MLB Tonight...it's like the old school Sportscenters used to be in focusing on highlights and player breakdowns.

I see that NFL Network and NBA TV is covered under several various streaming services...IDK why MLB Network is ostracized though.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

            LOL.

You'll have to excuse us (re: me) for being a bit of a condescending jerk at times to other fanbases after winning it all. The only thing funnier than a die hard Cub fan is a cocky Cub fan, lol. What is the world coming to? If the Cubs don't repeat this year, I fully expect other fanbases to pile on us for it.

Apparently Andrew McCutchen said that he wasn't asked to move to RF, instead he was just informed that he was moving over.

In his entire 12-year career, he's played in right only ONE time. In 2006, when he was in Altoona.

You gotta figure that you should show the face of your franchise a little more respect than that.

I read that earlier today and had the same thought. Best Pirate since Barry Bonds and never been in the news for anything bad that I can recall, yet he's being treated as if he were a scrub who might not even make the team.

I can see it both ways. Could they have asked out of respect? Probably, but if he said no, he was moving anyway so there was never a question to ask.

In my town it's Rogers or VMedia (IPTV).
They need to work on their distribution.

I don't think anyone regardless of talent or status on a team needs to be asked but I do think he should have been informed so he didn't find out via social media. That's wrong on multiple levels.

He also said that when his name was being mentioned in all these trade rumors he never once got a call from the team about that which I also find to be pretty bad from a management perspective.

I don't understand why the Pirates are making it so easy to make the face of their franchise so disgruntled. I bet if they have a slow start the trade talks will start swirling around again.

MLB Network is covered under the MLB at Bat app. The only problem is you have to have a cable provider (you have to verify it before you get the stream). I know this doesn't help you, but with a fire stick that has been jail broken you can get MLB TV for free.

He doesn't really seem too disgruntled, this was unsolicited and doesn't seem like something one would write if they were:

I’m not gonna lie. I Googled my own name more than a few times this offseason to see if there was any news.

He takes ownership for his ****ty year last year and understands why it happened.

I just think they owe it to him (or any player really) to let them know that they are moving positions or that their name may be brought up in trade conversations.

Wow, the guy's a total class act. I wish more star players were this civic minded and have a love for the fanbase the way he does. He's one of my favorites not wearing a Blue Jays uniform.
