    Hmm....Whats up with Smoltz

He's givin up at least one run in all three of his appearances this year. It made me sick yesterday. Horacio Ramirez pitched a flawless game. Then comes the 9th, smoltz is on the mound...time to relax right? NO, he gives up a homerun that cost us the game. So far, its only cost us one game, but if he keeps this up, the braves dont have another person on the lineup to take the closers role.

I think it's more due to the surgery he had in the off-season. I have him on a fantasy team and he certainly hasn't done much for me.

I knew it in that game against the Cubs last year in the post. I could see it in his eyes. His shoulder is jelly now, and he knows it. He won't be able to keep it up for long. I'll bet you dime to dollar he retires within the next 3 years.

I'm not too worried. He didn't pitch much in Spring Training, he took it easy coming back from the surgery. The good news is he's not experiencing any pain, his location is just off right now. His fastball's still fast, and his slider and splitter are still sharp. He just has to iron out the location and he'll be fine.

It was his elbow that bothered him last fall, he had surgery on it in the offseason.
