ATH was better when Kellerman was the host. Although he was a jackass, I could stand him. This new guy I can't stand! His voice just annoys me!

Back on topic:
They shoulda showed Bonds AB on ESPN 2 or ESPN News, but not during PTI

on the topic of roids...

when you get older your body breaks down in a different way, forcing you to do things more slowly.

If you have the body of a 27 year old though, you can wait just a little bit longer to see the ball, allowing you an overall better AB.

Now that covers how he gets the bat on the ball.

Sometimes he might not a hit a ball completley square, but if he is juiced that extra little ounce of speed might make up an extra 10 feet or so.

like his first AB against the Pads last night, it was not a good swing and he made horrible contact, yet the ball still went 25 feet from the fence.

basically, roids wouldnt help him much at 27, but they do now, since his body thinks hes 27.

WOW... Ya know, I pretty much usually like the things you post Somiss... but that's just a stupid and ignorant statement right there....

Guys like Palmeiro, Martinez.... all can put the bat on the ball at a similar age, but 'roids obviously would have an impact on their performance now... Not only on their bat speed, but on their hit power and distance as well.

Not to compare these guys in their prime, but they're all really good hitters.... the problem is it's so obvious Bonds "juiced" it's disgusting... and to say pretty much "who cares" if he did it....

I will admit to the fact that Bonds can hit the ball very well. But I can not for a moment beleive how ESPN treats him like he is a godsend or something. I watch ESPN all the time, but whenever baseball is on ALL they ever talk about is Bonds basically. Whatever happend to fair & balanced coverage.
