Billy Wagner called out Bobby Abreu

I forgot to post this...but it was reported on NBC 10's Sports Final show that Billy Wagner confronted Bobby Abreu after a recent game and got on him for his laziness in the outfield.

Wagner was in the game and Abreu did his usual "head in the clouds" defense when a flyball was popped over to him. Wagner was pissed and chewed into Everybody's Favorite Stat Man. Wagner remembered how Abreu played when both were in Houston and he didn't want to put up with Bobby's antics in Philly as well.

And people on here wondered why I kept getting on Abreu all the time

I've always said that Abreu is overrated. We need a guy like Wagner to jump in someone's *** and light a fire under him. And to think, Abreu has actually been playing well the past couple games.

I'm not really aware of what Abreau does because I'm from NY. Can someone enlighten me as to how Abreau is lazy....

When he is on defense, a fly ball will be hit his way and alot of times because of not hustling, he has let balls drop in front of or behind him and he has done this at key moments. He cost a couple games late last year that could have helped the Phillies make the playoffs.

Plus, it's not just on defense. His batting suffers from it also. He has no urgency at the plate. He will stand there and let himself get struck out. It's like he has no hustle gene in him.

I think the problem most fans have with Abreu is that he shows no emotion. He's very non-chalant with everything he does. It bothers fans to see strike out in a huge situation, or on a bad call...and then strut back to the dugout with his nose up in the air.
