I think the problem most fans have with Abreu is that he shows no emotion. He's very non-chalant with everything he does. It bothers fans to see strike out in a huge situation, or on a bad call...and then strut back to the dugout with his nose up in the air.

Yo Abreau is a great player but he does have some lapses on defense.

i wouldn't call him great...a good player that is just enjoying playing ball, not really concerned about getting better or about giving that extra effort to help the team win. he would be as happy playing for last year's tigers as he would the yankees. just wants to show up, play ball, and cash his checks.

again, not saying the phils should get rid of him (even though they overpay him i feel). just thank god we have guys like thome and wagner and bowa to break up the 'don't worry, be happy' crew led by abreu and filled out by rollins and liebs.
