    Just wanted to touch up on the question of whether this was a record or not.

    The record is 7 hits in a 9 inning game held by Rennie Stennett of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1975.

      He's such a good strong player man.

      I wish texas had kept him. He almost won the batting title a few years ago.

            I just dropped him from my fantasy teams as he wasn't doing anything for a long time!!! Maybe time to pick him back up...

                  Shawn Green was 6-7 in his 4 HR game, so it's not a break, and would've been at least a tie. But, like someone else pointed out, it's 7 hits.
