Thanks, but, won't this also kind of affect some things? Like, the handle of a broom is much smaller than the handle of a bat. You always want to be familiar with a bat's handle, shape, etc. You think this is the way to go, or just I just get a bat sleeve?

Should I really try the hand urination thing?

I'd stay away from the hand urination thing, but that's just my opinion!

Actually the broom I used had a thicker handle and also had a black rubber sleeve on it. It was comparable to a bat. I know what you mean though. One of those plastic brooms (kitchen brooms per se) are much thinner in the handle. I went to Home Depot and got the one I used. It was thicker and more durable than the thin "kitchen brooms". It was also heavier.

Sounds like it would change your swing though. I see a hitting coach every so often, and he is with the whole Bonds approach, mainly focusing on your turning and focusing on the inside seams, taking the knob of the bat to the ball and clearing through with your back shoulder, keeping your front elbow level, thereby taking it into account with everything that will give you that kind of "muscle memory".

Does anything else help you with the broom, besides giving you a quicker swing (since the bat feels lighter)?

I agree with everything that hitting coach is telling you. Especially taking the knob of the bat to the ball.

The broom is mainly for a quicker swing. It just creates resistance and muscle memory - essentially teaching your muscles how they should feel when a bat is swung. Althought you can also get that muscle memory from swinging at a tee or taking tons of BP. So long story short, no it really doesn't do anything else.

Sounds good. Thanks, I will try it sometime.

If anyone else is going to try the urin thing, I might as well give it a shot. I mean, you just have to wash your hands after anyways... it's just waste of what you drank (at least that has always been my assumption of what it was).
