Re: 4/21 - 4/27 Game Discussion Thread
Many pitchers admit to using a foreign substance after they retired, including hall of famers. You won't see it during the summer because it is hot. You only see it in the spring and fall.
Hitters know it and they don't care, you heard Papi after the game last time.
I'm not saying you guys are, but it is generally the casual fans that are the most vocal in these situations, and many of them don't know this.

Stop. Just please... stop.
You're making yourself look ignorant.
Is he the only one? Hell no. Is it only a minority that does it? Yes.
We aren't talking about the early eras of baseball here. I know a pitcher that threw a no-hitter while on LSD, and other pitchers have admitted to taking drugs while playing, hall of famers even.
Must mean they're all doing it.badComment

It was more of an exaggeration when I said everyone does it, but my point was that is very common.
Anyway I'm just gonna bow out before anything gets started.

But they didn't draw themselves into a magnifying glass, then get busted for the EXACT SAME THING 2 weeks later, resulting in ejection.Boston Red Sox

I don't think it was tar that Lester had, something green though.
Edit: To play Devils Advocate, Lester didn't have two weeks to do it again. Just a little joke, not being serious.

Re: 4/21 - 4/27 Game Discussion Thread
Watched the whole Pineda saga from last night on MLB.TV. What an idiot. NESN spotted the tar around the time he took the mound in the 2nd, and he was tossed with two outs in the inning.
The YES guys reaction was interesting, implying that everybody does it and Pineda should have tried to hide it better.
Edit: Just to clarify I thing both are terrible.Comment

10 game suspension for Pineda, likely two starts, but don't know if he will appeal.
