    the difference between biggio and vina is that biggio does it with armor and vina doesnt wear any..

    what vina does to get hit.. is that when the ball is coming inside... he turns his back to the ball.. making it look like he is trying to protect his face.. when in reality he is putting his shoulder out to get hit and get a base.

      Yup!

      Sure Vina takes his licks, but he doesn't wear the elbow armour like Biggio does.

            i don't really see the big deal about this, i mean everyone has the choice to do so, besides pitchers just need to have better command
            Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

                  Actually, what needs to happen is umpires enforcing the rule that a batter must make an effort to move out of the way of a pitch to be awarded first base.

                        I can't agree more. They call it all the time in high school call it in the majors too.
