Steve Lyons called Escobar a coward for picking the fight and then retreating when Gomes came after him.

I was disappointed nobody took a shot at Angel Hernandez in the scrum though.

Red Sox are a certain type of special right now. It's like they're having the bridge year last year was supposed to be, while playing like the 2nd half 2012 Red Sox. What a mess!

Red Sox are a certain type of special right now. It's like they're having the bridge year last year was supposed to be, while playing like the 2nd half 2012 Red Sox. What a mess!

The bullpen and a large swathe of the rotation just sucks right now. Some of the bench guys (which has been a strength) have been really suspect. Brock Holt is a terrible fielder (though he did make a couple nice plays yesterday) and Bogaerts has really regressed.

I can't help but feel a certain bit of joy watching John Farrell looking perturbed in the dugout.

As a red sox fan, im so happy for Beckett. I love beckett, a-gone, and crawford but i hate valentine and I blame him for the 2012 mess and for getting rid of those guys and youk...
