    Wow. That kid threw a heck of a lot of pitches in a short span. I bet the Arizona State coach (where he's going after HS) wasn't too thrilled to hear about that!!

      it was played a week apart though, so it's not as big a deal. I read it but i dont think it said whether or not he pitched half on one day and half the next week or not but I don't think he pitched 21 innings in one day.

                  Yes, but that's what I was referring to.

                  He pitched 9 Innings in the dark suspended doubleheader. THEN pitched 3 days later pitching a CG shutout against another team. Then finished out the suspended doubleheader 4 days after his CG.

                  So you could say he pitched on a Monday, Thursday and Monday. Way too much for a Major League pitcher who's arm has developed let alone a young high school kid. Most Major League pitchers start twice every 12-14 days. This kid pitched 3 times (with some pretty high pitch counts) in 1 week and 1 day.
