What's wrong with these guys being biased towards the Sox? They call White Sox games!! Just like the guy who call LSU games on the radio, pulls for the Tigers. I am not a big fan of them, but I don't see the problem with them being biased because that is their team. Maybe they go too far to some people, which is a personal taste, but people shouldn't blast them for being biased.

If they were on ESPN or Fox, where they would call a different game each week, there is no room for bias.

Nicely said, and for you people saying they don't give the other team credit? You guys have too small of a sample size.
    Michigan Wolverines
    Chicago White Sox

I agree with you that in principle there is nothing wrong with supposrting the home team (which you are broadcasting). But Hawk just comes across as belligerent. Taunting the other teams players is simply obnoxious. They might as well go up into the bleachers and give a drunken fan the mic.

Biased/partisan but classy = Harry Caray

Biased and obnoxious = Ken Harrelson

I have not listened to a White Sox broadcast since Paciorek left, so I can't gomment on the current situation. But it used to be abominable.

I can listen to a Cubs broadcast anytime, as Carary and Steve Stone might be biased, but are knowledgable and tactful when discussing another team. they also don't seem to overhype the abilities or performance of the Cubs.

            **** side note***
I was listening to the ESPN2 alternate broadcast of the Astros/Mariners last night. Greg Lucas and an unidentified individual were calling the game. What a tool. He was obviously a former player, but his accent was so bad it made him sound like he was mentally handicapped.

The sad thing is I don't know who it is, and he might be a really great person. But he needs to hang up the microphone.

I "love" it when DJ will relay some asinine comment and Hawk will say, (southern accent) "I love that story."

Hawk rules. DJ is OK. Bring back Wimpy.
