I think you could've put a package together to snag either one of those 3 guys without giving up the farm, imo.

I disagree. There are many reports saying the Rays would want Oscar and Shelby for Price. Hamels isn't going anywhere since RAJr apparently asked for Pederson, Seager, and Urias from the Dodgers. And with names like Hunter Harvey, Kevin Gausmann and Dylan Bundy being thrown out for Lester from the O's, it seems like we couldn't get any of them unless Martinez, Shelby or Oscar was included (maybe not Lester, but definitely the others).

I'm very interested to see what Bonifacio nets as he's been on a tear since returning from the DL.

Was at the game last night, so I missed that discussion. Jackson definitely wasn't good, I'm pretty sure it took him 100+ pitches to get through 4 innings. I actually made the comment "this feels like the longest game ever" before it actually turned into the longest Cubs game ever.

I think Jackson's struggles are beyond something going to the bullpen can fix.

The Yankees were rumored to be interested in Jackson, I think. Don't know if they still are/if that was just them asking how much he was going to cost.

Our asking price for Bonifacio is high. Don't know what to expect though.

I remember hearing about the Yankees interest in him. I would imagine the Cubs may get a middling prospect and have to pay a significant portion of Jackson's salary to move him. I agree that his issues go beyond something that a demotion to the pen will fix. He seems to have very little confidence that he can consistently execute any pitch but a slider. Once you lose confidence in yourself, it can be very difficult to get back.

Indeed I do. That's pretty old for AA.

Gordan Beckham probably headed to Giants. If the Giants can't get Asdrubal Cabrera.

Wow. Always thought Beckham would be a Blue Jay. AA is serious with the whole pitching thing.

Darkhorse is the A's. They are supposedly in the hunt for another starter. I told everyone who would listen Hammel was going to struggle in the AL. He has, mightily.

Lmao, I can imagine the meetings with Uggla there.

I've heard that AA is looking at a bat now.

Got to love the media reports, usually AA pulls something out we least expect. He better do SOMETHING of some import or the vibe in a very happy locker room is going to go sour.
