Castro rocked one 400ft and he's standing on first. This is the type of garbage I'm talking about with this guy. Our announcers are calling him out also. When THEY do it, you know it's bad.

And Castro should've scored on Soler's single, but he was on first for not hustling. Really tired of this lazy piece of garbage.

It's unbelievable how important Andy Simmons is to this team and also how incredible he is.

Kershaw is just unfair at this point. He's so damn fun to watch

Brewers choke in SD. Just a terrible game all around.

I know you're being a bit facetious but if the Cubs bring in the RIGHT kind of veterans and continue to foster the youth movement they could very well be a darkhorse for one of the Wild Card spots next season.

I was thinking about this the other day, we all better cherish and pay attention to this guy because if things keep going the way they are he's going to be a 1st ballot HOF'er. I know the whole "west coast" thing isn't as bad as it used to be but I daresay if he played somewhere on the east coast Kershaw would get even MORE buzz and talk than he does now.

That sweep was so satisfying, I doubt it but I hope it deflates the egos of the awful nationals announcers.

Cool Kershaw fact: he didn't face a bases-loaded situation all season until last night's start.

Kershaw is the only pitcher I can think off, that can load the bases with no outs, and I would be confident that no runs would score.

Two good series for the Pirates, taking two of three from the Brewers and Cards. Although Cutch got banged up a bit, Pedro is in a walking boot, and Snider has hamstring issues.

Yusmeiro Petit with new MLB record 46 consecutive batters retired. That's impressive.

Interesting. The Mets have floated around the idea of playing Travis D'Arnaud in LF.

Is this strobe flashlight/cell phone thing the Angels fans are doing something they've been doing all season or just started tonight for the A's?

Edit: Apparently the Angels are actively promoting this Lightwave thing and any their fans doing this. OK. That's cool. Not really.

Edit2: They did it during Trout's AB there too so maybe it's the new thing there. Pretty annoying I'd think. I assumed they'd only do it during opposing teams AB.

Does this lightwave thing obstruct the batter's view when they're hitting? If so I'm a bit surprised that Melvin or the A's players haven't made a complaint about it. This seems like the perfect thing to make a stink over.
