Who is this David Newhan guy?
He is batting over .450, with an OPS better than Bonds. Sure he has only played in ten games, but where did he come from? He was a 1995 17th round pick, and before this season had under 100 big league at bats.

Another HR tonight. Hasn't gone a game yet without getting at least 1 hit. He's the man, that's all. -

Re: Who is this David Newhan guy?
Rangers AAA.
He had a clause in his contract that if he wasn't in the majors by June 15 he could go wherever. Baltimore contacted him and he signed.
Unfortunatly for Texas, they need the extra infielder now.
And he was raking in AAA this year too.I'm sofa king, we Todd Ed.Comment

Re: Who is this David Newhan guy?
He seems to be one of those 30 year old journeymen cut by the Texas Rangers. The terrible Orioles decided to give him a shot and he's producing. I guarantee in a few weeks he goes back to his mediocre play.Comment

I wouldn't be so sure because he knows he is just a temp until Mora is healthy and If he continues like this, he could very well put himself into position to have the O's plattoon the infield, between Mora, Newhan, Hairston, and Roberts.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

The way Mora has hit all year, no way he's being platooned. I think we're gonna have to trade either Roberts or Hairston to make room in the IF. Newhan, as good as he's been, will be a bench warmer once we all get healthy.Comment
