I wouldn't be so sure because he knows he is just a temp until Mora is healthy and If he continues like this, he could very well put himself into position to have the O's plattoon the infield, between Mora, Newhan, Hairston,and Roberts.

The way Mora has hit all year, no way he's being platooned. I think we're gonna have to trade either Roberts or Hairston to make room in the IF. Newhan, as good as he's been, will be a bench warmer once we all get healthy.

he plays multiple infield positions I think so there's a chance he will stay in the lineup.

Yeah, they can just move him around wherever they need him and give someone a break.

yeah, with gibbons on the DL now, that frees up an OF spot for Hairston to stay and Newhan giving Mora (still hurt), tejada, or roberts a day off.

If anyone is traded it will probably be Hairston, he has already publicly expressed his unhappiness about his role as a Utility player and does not like switching from 2B to the OF on a game to game basis. If Newhan is willing to play the role of super Utility man then Hairston will be the one to go.
