Re: Mets v. Phils and it actually means something.
actually we only have to worry about ourselves. if we just keep playing our game we will be stading tall in the end. i just checked and the mets are 2.5 games back in the wild card race. whats this mean? its not a fluke we are becoming a good team that can stand up to the national league. i was hatin it when everyone was blaming the mets success on being in a week division. LETS GO METS lets take out the phills tomorrow and go break some hearts in FLAComment

Wow we are beating the snot out of the Phillies. I can't remember the last time we had 14 hits on a pitching staff by the 5th inning!
Anyway, Philly's pitching is mediocre at best. Sure they looked good on paper, but Ed Wade has got some work to do...
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
And guess what Wade will do.........absolutely nothing. He'll say the starting pitchers will get better in the second half.
Meanwhile, Millwood will get to 300 lbs., Myers will keep getting bombed...while Wolf and Milton keep winning. So basically, the pitching will be a roller coaster ride.
We keep the same hitters, nobody leading off plus no clutch hitters leads to continuing to do one run gamesan offense like this always jacking for HRs instead of getting on base means no offense alot of times...SAME PROBLEM FOR TWO YEARS NOW.

I agree with most of your comments, however I think that Rollins has been doing a great job in the leadoff position. The main problem is the #2 position (polanco sucks). I seriously don't think I've seen Palanco make a clutch hit all year long.Comment

So it's Bowa's fault that his starting pitchers get rocked on a nightly basis and that his hitters are going for homers when he is telling them to get on base?Comment
