As a Yankee fan, I have always been indifferent towards the Red Sox because they've never "scared" me as far as threating to win the AL. But this was it for me. I have absolutely no respect for them. From Schilling crying his eyes out last night to Varitek being a straight up biatch, they get no respect from me.

Simple hate was the reason for everything that happened in this game. Add jealousy in that if you will.

Besides his push/slap/mush to Arod's face, Varitek was on the losing end of that. If he had been a real man and threw off his mask, he would've been bloodied up.

A-Rod showed me something by standing up for himself.

If you can't beat them, bean them?

I never liked when Clemens did it, and I definitely don't respect that little no-name punk pitcher who did it today.

 BigEast you said. I'm not a real HUGE Yankee fan...yet. I just don't hate them nearly as much as I hate the Red Sox.

Behind UNC, the Red Sox might be my most hated team in all of sports.

I'm not really convinced that this was on purpose. But hey, at least it's some entertainment. The AL East race sure isn't going to provide any the rest of the way.

Because this was the at bat that a pitch got away on? It could have been intentional, but it's not like everytime a good player gets hit it was on purpose. I guess it could have been payback for a good game last night, but the Yankees have plenty of guys who have had good games against Boston, and the Red Sox don't hit them. If it was Pedro throwing at his head, then I might think differently. But it was some no name pitcher, hitting him in the side, early in a game. I don't think it was an obvious purpose pitch.

Woot....

I dunno I just cant get excited about this team. They werent playing with any sense of urgency (this year), but I hope that fight woke them up. The light at the end of the tunnel is fading, but I think today it may have got a little brighter. Lets get some momentum boys...

Arrayo is a pretty iffy picture. One night he's on the next night he'll give up Derek Lowe numbers of 6 runs in 3 innings. He lost control of his stuff. A-Rods the instigator in this situation. I'm just happy that Variteck pie faced him. =)
