Oh my lord, this is unbelievable. Some of you Yankee fans on this board amaze me with the unbelievable lack of maturity. It's very sad to say the least.

First off, deeman, calling me stupid. Congratulations, insults over the internet. You must be one cool guy. Oh, and by the way: "You think the Yankees instigate? I could see where your ignorance could make you believe this. You also think hitting A-Rod was an accident, thats just a result of your stupidity" Good job. For one, did I say the Yankees always instigate? No, I didn't. I said that it is possible for them to, but obviously not to a blind Yankee fan. Two, did I ever mention once in my post that I said hitting A-Rod was an accident? No, in fact, I did not. And your the one calling me stupid?

Oh, and BTW AIFranchise, your at about the same maturity level as deeman. Calling the Red Sox queers and all kinds of crap. Takes a big winner to do that, you know.

Honestly, what is going on? Did one loss to the Red Sox make EVERY SINGLE Yankee fan on this board get their panties in a bunch and drop their maturity level down to that of a 4th grader at best? Some of the posts in this thread are some of the saddest things you could see on a message board. Please, some of you guys need a life.

Your lucky the Yankees have some fans on this board like NYJets to save you guys some dignity.

Yes, it appears all it took was one loss. Look how all the Yankee fans, with the exception of Jets, who is mature beyond his years, is acting. Calling the Sox queers and [censored], where the HELL did that come from!? Seriously, if every bunch of fans acted this way when their team lost, the baseball forum would be shut down.

Quit acting like babies. It was a regular season baseball game.

<font color="blue"> I don't see how the Yankee fans are acting like babies. Nobody is crying over the loss.

BTW, I think Jason Varitek instigated the fight. A-Rod was mouthing off, but nothing was going to happen until Varitek got into it.

I couldn't tell, he shoved A-Rod first right? It does seem that the Red Sox have instigated most of the "incidents" the past few years.

In my book, if you goad someone into a fight by mouthing them off, you are just as bad as the guy who throws the first punch. I'm glad the umps recognized this and tossed A-rod along with Varitek.

Yeah but A-Rod was mouthing off at the pitcher. Then Varitek went over and got into it with A-Rod. If he stays away, nothing happens...

Re: yanks and sox fight again

I'm a ranger fan, but love the Yanks vs BoSox games. Never a dull moment. I don't really see how anyone can say this person instigated it first. I don't know if Arroyo meant it, but he is a wild pitcher(highest in the league i think) and it wasn't a terrible life threatening hit(lol, just looked like an inside pitch that got away). Tek got between the pitcher and Arod(as a good catcher should, especially in a heated rivalry as the BoSox and Yanks). Arod, did glare back at Arroyo, but the ump pushed towards Tek as if he started mouthing first, and Arod was saying FU. I think it was great, i've never seen Arod get angry like that(rivalry can even get to him).

I was surprised though, that Sturtze didn't come back and ritaliate in the next inning. Personally, i think ARod, Sturtze, Millar, Ortez(sp?), Tek, and Kapler should've been ejected. Sturtze was an idiot to pull Kapler out(lord kapler's been buff since the rangers).

If the rangers win the West, i hope that Boston gets the wildcard, or yanks and Boston wins the division so we can hopefully see a BoSox Yanks playoff series again.

There is not ONE Yankees' fan that is upset about losing yesterday's game. Not ONE. I even stopped watching the game in the 7th inning, because at that point I could care less about the result.

The Yanks proved how classy they were and I commend Joe Torre for calming Sturtze down because there are a bunch of Managers in the MLB that would've told their guy who jsut got scratched up and one of their most valuable players who just got beaned and ejected to go in there and fling one into Garciaparra or Manny's eye socket.

I did not call the Red Sox or their fans out of their name, so don't act like I did.

I said Varitek and many of the Red Sox players are subpar and sore losers.

There is no one on the board who knows what Varitek said to Arod prior ARod dropping 2 consecutive F-bombs in his face. Varitek had his mask on and you just can't see what he said. It was obvious that ARod's first words and glances were to the pitcher.

If Varitek wants to defend his pitcher. Fine. That's his job. But he must've said something to ARod to make a guy who really doesn't "go there", fire off like he did.

Red Sox, you guys look bitter and desperate after all this is said and done.

And I know ARod garnered the utmost respect from his teammates after this.

You guys better hope that instead of lighting your own fire, you didn't light a fire under ARod, because he could just go off, stats-wise, after this incident.

And for that, I say thanks.

A-Rod should've just shot a glare at Arroyo, maybe mutter a little bit and taken his base. There was no retaliation for anything, IMO. Arroyo just got too far inside and plunked him. Rivalry or not, I don't think it was intentional.

I'm no fan of A-Rod(or the Yankees as a whole for that matter but you can blame Georgie for that). I just think he's always been a little arrogant since his Mariner days, but that's just me. However, A-Rod wasn't solely responsible for the fight. Varitek does not escape the blame, as he took a shot at A-Rod after words were exchanged and that caused the fight. Not taking off his mask made him out to be a little bit of a coward.. should've doffed the mask first. That 3-on-1 on Sturtze wasn't exactly what I call brave either. Both A-Rod and Varitek took it a lot further than it had to be taken, that's all.

AROD is so fake....he sees JETES lay it all out 3 weeks ago &amp; the city re-affirms their love for him (which they should)..GAY ROD wants some love too so he (with an elbow brace on mind you) tries to take it up with a 165 lb-ounder

this guy once asked ripken "how should i shake hands in public?"
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.
