    According to Sportscenter, it could be fatal IF NOT TREATED.

    That's a lot better than all the rumors I heard where it sounded like this disease could kill him at anytime. Now that we know it's only fatal if not treated (and Giambi will get the best people available to treat him), it makes this entire thing sound better.

    In any case, I hope everything works out.

            I've always liked Giambi, since his first breakout season in Oakland. Regardless of who it is, you never want to see anyone acquire something that could be fatal. Get well Jason.

                This makes rivalries in sports such as the Sox/Yankees seem so unimportant sometimes. I'm a Sox fan, but this is still terrible to see. Giambi may not be a favorite player of mine, but I really hope he gets better. He always seemed like a nice guy, and was always fun to watch.
