I'm still against trading Kendall for the record. If some deal is worked out the Pirates are still going to pay half of his contract and he won't even be playing for us. I would much rather see Kendall ride it out with the team. But, if we trade Kendall I think it comes a catcher by commitee. We would see a combination of House/Cota/C. Wilson behind the plate. No one is really ready to claim the job and the team is going to need some time to see who can fill that big void.

If Kendall isn't traded I think there is going to be a serious squeeze for playing time. Ward is coming back so that pushes Craig into right but that's Mackowiak's new full time job. I guess Mack could come into third and push Wigginton over to second but that just creates more trouble for our log jam at second. We can't afford to sit any of our big bats or we'll get no offense at all. I really want to see how Mac handles it when Ward comes off the DL.

When he does clear waivers I wouldn't be surprised if the Dodgers come knocking to see if they can work out a deal. They need a catcher but it hasn't been really discussed yet because Kendall was breaking the record for games caught by a catcher and the team wouldn't trade him before he comes home to celebrate in PNC. I would hate to see Kendall go but Littlefield is desperate to unload Kendall and this may be one of his last chances.
Brian Giles will convince KT to put a claim on Kendall... I can just see it now.
