    Carlos Tosca Fired!

Stay updated with Major League Baseball scores, Blue Jays news, Standings & insights for Canadian fans. Live on TSN.

Good riddance. The Jays have been a HUGE disappointment this season and somebody's gotta take the fall.

I like JP because he actually talks to the fans on a fairly regularly basis but he's been given a freepass so far and I feel like next year is a make it or break it year for him.

I'm not impressed with his 2 first round picks under his tenure. Russ Adams and Aaron Hill. Both guys have limitied potential.

I feel like the Phelps trade is going to haunt the Jays.

Next year will be the first year he has payroll flex with Delgado's contract running up so it should be a very interesting off-season. I want to see the Jays make a run at Sexson but I don't know how much he will comand.

        WOOHOO FINALLY HE'S GONE!!!

He made a lot of strange managerial decisions in his tenure as manager, mostly in regards to lineup and bullpen management. I agree that JP has been given a free pass and next year will be a make it or break it year. JP has had some success but it always seems to be shortlived. I had hoped the Jays would've hired Terry Ryan (Twins) or Walt Jocketty (Cardinals) when they were hiring a GM.

Anyways I hope that JP hires a manager that doesn't pray at the alter of Beane ball. The one guy I really want to see managing the Jays is Ernie Witt. He's done a great job with the Canadian olympic baseball team and I think that he would be a great fit as he has a history in Toronto and unlike Buck Martinez he at least has some managerial experience.

A lot of Jays fans want to see Witt be hired but he doesn't have any MLB managing experience. The bad side is when you hire a new manager they like to bring in their own guys which means you're starting off at ground zero again. All I know is it's put up or shut up time for JP. If the Jays don't make an effort to compete for a playoff spot next season JP should be fired.

I just don't understand why they traded Phelps. He seemed to have so much potential, plus he plays catcher, I mean you just don't dump a guy like that. Also, why would they make a run at Sexson? They already got Delgado, plus Sexson's shoulder will continue to bug him until he fixes his swing.

Phelps doesn't play catcher in the Majors. All his games have been either DH or 1B.

I'm taking about the Jays making a run at Sexson in the off-season because Delgado will most likely not be re-signed.

I really expected big things from the Jays this season. Especially after they brought in Batista.

Finaly indeed.Like said he made bad bullpen decision late in games, especially last season with Aquilino and giving the dreaded cliff Pollite so many chances(man we might of really fought for a playoff spot had it not been for tha bum)

I'd like for us to get an expecience manager like Brenly. But since he just won a WS,he might be out of our price range.
