    Re: Sweetest Swing?

The best homerun swing to my mind is a tie between Griffey and Barry Bonds. They have different styles but one thing that they share is the effortless look of the swing. Barry's swing is also very fundamenatally sound while having great power.

The best swing overall to me is John Olerud. He just has a very effortless swing and one that is comparible to Ted Williams' in its smooth and sound motion.

He has such an effortless swing. Hits for both average and power, uses the entire field when he bats.

        Just an amazing five-tool player.
I have to agree with Griffey(1) and Drew(2).

There should be a seperate category for righthanded batters since lefthanded batters have the advantage of having their momentum directed toward first base after their swing whereas the right handers are falling towrd third base. This is one thing that really affects the aesthetics of a swing, I think.

I'd say Pujols. That man drives the ball like no one else in baseball. I love watching him go the other way because he makes it look so damn easy.

Pujols does make it look easy, but his stance is so awkward looking. It looks as if he's trying to pinch a loaf...
