Barry has the smoothest swing...he makes it look so easy, and the way he comes out of his stance makes it even better.Comment

Re: Sweetest Swing?
Alright, guys, I'm going to separate what I'm going to say as the sweetest swing and the best swing.
The sweetest swing is the one that looks the greatest to you, that looks beautiful and graceful (basically, that means that Sosa wouldn't be in this category).
The best swing is the swing that gets the results, the reason for his swinging method that gives him such great authority when up at the plate (basically, that means that Sosa wouldn't be in this category).
For the sweetest swing, for me it's a tie between Ken Griffey Jr. and Jim Edmonds. Even though they aren't really the role models to look at to see how to swing a bat, they just look so graceful when they swing, and it usually looks better if they hit the long ball doing it. Normally, a huge extension, with a big one-handed uppercut. While that's probably exactly the opposite of what you're taught to do while batting, it just looks so great.
For the best swing, it's Barry Bonds, and there's no reason to even think of a second, because they are so far off of the charts, it's not even funny. Bonds just has such a short, compact swing with terrific power and drive through the ball. Also, he conserves it, I think that helps a lot, too. Many people have to remember, that Bonds only gets about 6 or 7 pitches to see in an entire series, only about that many chances to swing. It's amazing how long he can wait, yet start his swing right before the ball reaches the plate.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
