As I do every year I'll head out to Phoenix and attend games in every Cactus League Park. I'll also be at Big League Weekend again this year in Vegas both days. Athletics vs Cubs. Love this time of year.

Don't understand why arod thought this was necessary, everyone already knew he's sorry. But srsly, if he wants to make amends, he could start by reworking his contract to the Major League minimum. And he could volunteer to forfeit all contract bonus'. But obviously he doesn't feel that bad about cheating the fans, the game, the Yankees & other teams.

It was necessary because the Yankees wanted him to have a press conference before camp started, so he went and did this instead.

Not sure where to put this, if you think this is worthy of a topic than feel free to take my reporting there:

New pace of play rules being announced per Kenny ken ken

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>1. Managers must challenge replays from dugout. 2. Batters must keep one foot in box unless an established exception occurs . . .</p>&mdash; Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/568596948535656448">February 20, 2015</a></blockquote>
            ******** async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

            <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>3. Play to resume promptly once broadcast returns from commercial break.</p>&mdash; Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/568596953807917056">February 20, 2015</a></blockquote>
            ******** async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I can see a lot of hitters crying about the "one foot in the box" rule.

              1. Good, no more dancing with the Umpire while waiting to challenge. That was excruciating last year.

              2. Good, I don't know about anyone else, but when I played, that was one rule our little league always had, HS too.

              3. We'll see if this actually happens. Not holding my breath.

Going to head up to Phoenix for Reds-Royals on March 7th I think it is. Then complete my annual spring training-hockey doubleheader with Yotes-Canadiens in the evening. Not sure the Reds have much of a chance this year with the trades they made. Eh well.

This is an awful story...hope he recovers fully:

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Victor Sanchez was hospitalized in Venezuela following a boating accident.

Apparently Molina showed up at ST about 15lbs lighter in an attempt to stay healthy. Hopefully it pays off. Need him behind the plate.

Also Kozma is trying to earn a roster spot by attempting to be the teams emergency catcher...

C.C. Sabathia showed up to camp weighing 305.

Albert Pujols hinted that 2020 could be his last season if not sooner.

I know that Sabathia feels more comfortable at that weight but doesn't he now have issues with his knees? Adding weight to an already compromised set of knees doesn't seem like the best idea.
