Anyone know why Pujols was going at it with Ventura?

Alexander Guerrero! Nice to see him and Young Joc contributing to the team, especially after last nights mess.

Must be tough man. Those A's are clearly not good.

I knew that would ******* happen. You don't bring closers in the game in non-save situations. Incompetence b our manager cost us this game.

LaTroy Hawkins, 42 years old and still throwing gasoline on late-game bullpen fires.

It was Trout not Pujols. When Trout reached base Ventura kinda stared him down. Then when he scored one of them said something and the benches cleared. Pretty sure it was Ventura that started it. No idea what Trout did that he didnt like.

Edit - After he scored, Trout shouted "Let's go!" Ventura said something in Spanish that Trout did not understand. Then Perez hustled Ventura away.

Ventura needs to drink some water or something. Left because of a cramp again. In his calf this time.

There comes a time when you need to give credit where credit is due.

Just like Cruz get's all the credit for straight up beating Clippard there, you need to give credit to the A's for coming back.

Blaming the manager for bringing your closer in with a four run lead is just silly.

Isnt the closer usually the best pitcher in your pen? Its not like he can only pitch well if he is up 3 or less.

If you look at the stats with closers coming in to a 3 run game vs a 4 run game I guarantee you their ERA will be a full run or 2 higher than normal. Rodney has had a few games last year that he almost blew due to entering with too big of a lead. I know it doesn't make logical sense, but I think it's more a psychological thing than anything. Closers seem to pitch better the tighter the game is.

Also, I am of the opinion that Carson Smith is our best reliever. Just a matter of time before he inherits the closer role.

Great to see Cruz coming up big time in the clutch the last couple of games.
