I know that doesn't fit your Anti-Castro narrative though.

First off, both Schilling and Kruk said that Castro has to make that play.

That's also why the broadcast team spent about 3 minutes talking about Castro's lack of focus and all his errors since 2010. Which he leads all of MLB.

My "narrative" fits nicely with the local's AND national media's also, so I'll take it.

Because it fits their scripted narrative to talk about Russell and the Cubs future at some juncture in the game. But it's good that you can be herded with all the other people who believe anything you hear and run with it if it sounds good at that moment.

Now, people that actually played baseball competitively or have some semblance of fundamental knowledge know that infielders give way to outfielders coming in in fly ball situations. That is Coghlan's ball from the jump, who is a notoriously bad fielder to begin with.

Now move along.
