Damn tie game.
At least it was a no decision.

That's a blatant violation...the base coach can't touch or interact physically with a runner in any way. Why did the umps let that go?"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: 4/20 - 5/3 Game Discussion Thread
I read, in this very thread, that my Astros will finish last in the AL West this year. So, I decided to look at the standings and, despite the loss tonight, I see Houston in first and Seattle in a 3-way tie in the cellar.
Guess it's too early for me to see what is obvious to others.Comment

Agreed that was very odd. Third base umpire didn't see it he was looking out in left field. Home umpire should have seen it though.

I was at that brutal Phillies game this afternoon. Officially the smallest crowd in Citizens Bank Park history. 17,097 was the announced attendance. I can tell you right not it wasn't even anywhere near that number. Was also the smallest Phillies crowd overall since a June 2003 game when they drew a little over 16,000 at Veterans Stadium.Comment

The Mets are on an epic roll! Today was their 11th straight win tying the '69, '72, '86 and '90 teams with that distinction. They also swept a 10 game homestand for the first time in team history.
