I stopped watching after McLendon brought Suckuhar in. Because I knew we would lose. Why on earth would you bring that bum into the game when Carson Smith is available?

Clayton Kershaw has allowed 28 ERs. He allowed 39 last season. #dodgers

Wow that's a crazy factoid. That just shows how historic a season Kershaw had last year.

Hey Matrix...you watching the game today?

Teheran's velocity around 87-88 mph where's he normally around 92-93 mph. I find it quite disconcerting.

EDIT: After he was pulled in the 7th, he gave Shelby a LONG hug and seemed like he was about to fall out as it was more of a lean that a hug. Maybe it's something to do with his health.

Way to be discreet, Will Smith!

Dude got caught with pine tar on his arm and curses out Fredi as he walked to the dugout. Shut up dude -- you're an idiot and got caught.

Kyle Hendricks is absolutely dealing tonight. Hopefully Joe lets him go out for the CG

And he finishes it. CG Shutout for Hendricks, HRs for Bryant and Russell. The kids came to play tonight

I feel for the NL when regression to the mean happens for Kershaw...

One example of his bad luck: 1 out of every 5 flyballs hit against Kershaw this year has gone for a home run...which is an out-of-whack, ridiculous number that will regress. And his peripherals are basically in line with what he put up in 2013.

At the same time, his LD% and HardHit% are at career highs, so you can't totally chalk it up to bad luck. He needs to learn that he can't keep throwing belt-high, first-pitch fastballs to right-handed hitters 90% of the time, since they're jumping all over it.

No doubt, but his K/9 is off the charts while his BABIP is over .350...

I'm reading a few articles tonight about the Cubs kicking the tires on a Papelbon trade.

Depending on what they would have to give up (I'm assuming not all that much considering how much Pap is owed), I wouldn't be completely opposed to it.

I want to see Medina in action first, though.

I didn't pay too much attention to the particulars since I was at work but I saw that his line was OK. Something must be up.

Also, who does this Will Smith jabroni think he is?

Teheran doesn't always pitch like himself in the cooler weather and it was unusually cool last night. Maybe that's why his velocity was down. I guess he could have used something like Smith attempted...
