        This is shocking to me...didn't think there was anyway the would fire him. He was hired when I first moved there back in 2007 and for the most part has had crap to work with. I guess someone has to pay for the unmet expectations, but I don't out this on Buddy.

                    I'm memorized how good this Perez kid is...looks like he should be able to get in the 7th which is HUGE.

                            He's been terrible all year with the excepting of like 2 starts. Beachy is coming soon (expected to be with the big league club July 17th) so that will help the rotation, but I am sure we will make a trade before then. Scott Kazmir and Jesse Chavez have been on our radar. Johnny Cueto is also a possibility.

                                Frias is a bullpen guy because of his lack of an effective offspeed pitch and the huge platoon splits that result from that (in other words, he throws batting practice to lefties).

                                Any solid #3 starter (Kazmir, Samardzija, etc.) would be a good pickup for us.

                                    Oh I know, the problem is it's a guaranteed loss every 5 days it seems like. I agree any one of those would be great pickups (I am really hoping for Kazmir I've always been a fan of his). Wouldn't mind Cueto either as long as we don't have to give up an arm and a leg to get the guy.

                                                Our bullpen only gave up 2 ERs in 3 innings.
