He's been really really really good. Seems to be pretty underrated around the baseball community as well. Maybe it's my bias as a Braves fan, but he just seems like he's not just good, but great game in and game out and him and Simmons up the middle can compete with anyone defensively. He's improved his footwork around the 2nd base bag tremendously.

Man, that was a crazy game tonight with a little bit of everything including a near no-no and Bret Cecil nearly coughing up the game.

Chris Sale strikes out 14 batters on 111 pitches. Got pulled. Relief pitcher comes in and gives up 2 runs. Ranger now up 2-1 on the White Sox.

Ya, what a crazy game. Even just from 1st inning alone!

1st inning: O's hit Bautista(for 8th time,3rd in past 2 seasons. Not to mention in the past year,they've come close to hitting him a number of times too!). Gibbons goes to argue and gets ejected! Bautista on base and starts chirping the O's dugout(specifically Adam Jones).


8th inning: Estrada had no hitter broken up. Jays take him out. Jays hit Adam Jones. Ump throws Jays pitcher out of game. The Jays bench manager(who took over as manager since Gibbons got ejected) goes to argue and also gets thrown out! Os get 2 runs,had bases loaded 2 diff times in inning!

9th inning: Jays put in their closer Cecil, he allows bases loaded,lets up 2 runs,but luckily has Davis swinging at ball 4 so Jays win the game 5-4,after leading 5-0 at one point!

Bautista-Jones stuff goes back to earlier in season:


This is making Jays-O's stuff fun to watch! Finally a heated rivalry!

For the love of all that's holy can the Jays please get a closer?!

Unfortunately,if Papelbon is the guy Jays want,the price could be some good prospects in return. And for a guy who'd really just be here for 1.5 seasons at most.

I'd hope Jays go after someone else like Axford,Robertson,K-Rod or something instead. Someone who'd be under contract through at lest 2017.

I love Jason Grilli. 38 years old and just loves the game. His story is pretty cool.

Pirates have been rolling lately, even with the loss last night to the Nats. I'm a bit concerned about Polanco though, as he seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. He was struggling, so I guess Hurdle is going with the hot hand.
