Miguel Cabrera was signed at 16 though

Don't get me wrong I like the international signings especially since we signed Gregory Guerrero, who ranked 17th in MLB.com's top 30 international prospects, but it would be nice to sign players for the major league team.

Yes I really want Ozzie. John Farrell can't handle this team. This team has played like **** and he hasn't done anything to fix it. I don't know how to put it but I think we need a true voice in the club house. And a guy that will tell it straight and is willing to sit a guy because he isn't playing well.

Also this already a lost season what difference does it make if we sign Ozzie for the rest of the season.

Baseball managers don't really move the needle that much to begin with.

In reality, the Red Sox need Ortiz to retire so Hanley can shift to the DH and they need to throw a bunch of money at David Price. If that happens, the Red Sox will get better and people will stop complaining about Farrell.

So i'm flipping between the Jays game and the MLB-N showcase (SD/STL) and they have Tim McCarver joining Costas for one night only. Holy crap has McCarver aged incredibly since the last time I saw him. He's really showing his age and sounds a lot slower too.

Still, it's pretty classy to have those two doing a game again for the first time in over 30 years.

Good grief...Matt Boyd got bombed. I have a feeling he'll be demoted as it seems the Big Leagues might be too much for him at this point.

The difference is that we would re-sign him after that, and 2016 would be awfully similar to 2012. Both Boston's and Guillen's 2012.

Besides, that's a circus I don't want to deal with. Give me anyone other than Guillen*.


*Coming from someone who's fine with Farrell, and doesn't expect this team to win 90 games a year.

It makes zero sense "throw away" season or not.

You can't keep saying the season means nothing so hire him anyway and then say he'll light a fire under their ***. That's contradictory.

Yea maybe it light's a fire under their *** but if it doesn't and blows up in their face the season is pretty much dead. Yea they are 6.5 games out of first and there are 4 teams in front of them. So get rid of the manager and if it works good if not you are in the same position you are in right now, which is your 3rd losing season in 4 years. The only reason he hasn't already been fired is because of the fluke WS in his first season. If that teams loses in the first round he is gone in May or June.

Guy has a 2 hit shutout thru 5 against Walgreens for his ML debut.

Yea he was a top prospect for the Yankees a couple of years ago. He was part of the 3 B's with Betances and Andrew Brackman. They were all top pitching prospects in like 2011. Then I think he had some arm injuries.

He was the Yankees top pitching prospect at one point, but he had TJS. I still thought the Yankees were crazy to give him up for David Carpenter...who they have since released.

The exact same could be said for keeping Farrell, either they turn it around or it's the 3rd losing season in 4 years.
