I hope like hell this is just a blip on the radar and they'll revert to how they've played most of the year.

It could be because as you said the Red Sox are playing like ****. So 3 of their 7 wins came against the WORST team in the AL, FWIW.

So Tulo tonight...not bad for a guy starting in his first game at the leadoff position, playing on a new team, at a ballpark he hasn't been at in 8 years. What did he do? Nothing really, except a HR and 2 doubles, driving in 3 runs, and having the crowd chanting "tulo!tulo!tulo!"

Harold Reynolds on MLB Network saying he doesn't see Tulo in Toronto long term. Thinks Blue Jays will trade him in the offseason. lol.

lol,no way. I actually see Bautista or EE leaving before Tulo, cause of EE/Bautista getting injured more often, and being older and not having as long of team control.Only way Tulo is gone is if he wants to be(cause he has a NTC now).

But Jays are implementing an "on the rebound" strategy lol. Donaldson and now Tulo, both guys who feel hurt/betrayed by their prior organization for the handling of them being dealt, and Jays swoop in there to play the role of the good guy who picks them up.

Outside of being a Dodger fan, why? Giants are getting healthy and have pulled even. Bochy is the best manager in the game and the Giants, while seemingly less talented, get it done. I just feel like the Dodgers are in for a fight...

If Tulo keeps smashing 460 foot bombs I think Jays fans will adore him.

Is Harold Reynolds a liquor/drug abuser or just stupid?

Tulo's contract is reasonable for his talent and the Jays have nothing in the pipeline at SS. The only way I see Tulo being gone next season is if Toronto makes a blockbuster deal with NYM for one or two of their SPs.

I've been watching this game since the start. Granderson is having a great game. Leadoff double and a run and a three run homer later in the game. Bases are loaded with one out for Niese, though.

Edit: inning ending double play gets the Mets out of the jam.

Edit II: Welcome to NY, Juan Uribe! I was watching a Mets-Dodgers game a few days ago and Uribe had a walkoff RBI single in the 10th. In this game, he just hit a homer.

I won't defend HR...that's just an asinine comment.

As far as what I've quoted here...100+MM thru 2020 and he's on a turf field for 81 games while being one of the more oft-injured superstars. Personally, I don't think he lives up to that contract beyond 2016...the past few years he's been great 1/2 of the year - I think that will hold true until he becomes good then fringe average 1/2 of the year (injured otherwise).

Bryan Mitchell starting for the Yankees instead of Pineda, who has a forearm injury.
