Anywho, she got the tag right cept well, I never heard of the dogers.
I assumed it was her as I don't know any OAK beat writer except her...I remember seeing her on the Rundown @ MLBN and recently when Reddick joked back at her.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

      You're the man, Mabster.

Trout is 4th lowest in the league at 11.3%.

Freddie is top 25 at 39%; 5th in MLB at 42% last year.

I wish I could get the MLBN broadcast of this A's & D's game. Would have been nice to listen to Scully.

Didn't have much of a chance with the way Sonny Gray was dealing.

And as much as I love Joc Pederson, he's going to have to solve his contact issues. Walking back to the dugout without making contact as often as he does means you have to compensate by launching baseballs into the seats.

He hasn't been doing that since early June and hasn't been very good. It's a high-risk skill set.

Nice HR by Kang for the go ahead in a game that shouldn't have been that close. The Pirates desperately need another solid bullpen arm.

If the ball hits the bat, then hits the batter, and then goes fair, is it a fair ball?

I'm guessing 10/10 of people here would say no. Except if one of the people here is the umpire from Jays game last night.

I wanted video review of stuff more than many people on this site, and I still like it more than most people on this site, but I don't get how stupid some umps have to be where umps refuse to use video review, or angles that people can clearly see at home, the replay center doesn't use.....

Right...if the batter is in the box still, it's a foul ball.

If the batter is out of the box, it's an out.

How does an umpire not know that?

lol exactly....then why did umpires call it a fair ball!? Here's the video.

As you see,the ball hits his leg, bounces off the batters box, then goes fair.....and umpires call it a fair ball, even after Jays argue it.

And this lead to Phillies rally which won the game(Howard scored the first of 3 runs that inning, which won game 3-2 for Phillies)

It doesn't seem like he knew the ball hit the player and then called it a fair ball.....
The ump thought it was a straight hit.

Neither of them were aware the ball hit Howard and that's why they didn't change the call...and one of the umps told the Jays manager..."if you think it hit him....challenge it"

                      The clip was then edited.
                      Was the play challenged?

                      If not....shame on the Jays.

That's woefully evident I think...it's a check swing and the ball took an odd bounce. You can see even Howard wince in pain.

I'm curious to Knight's question whether they challenged it too.

I believe they didn't challenge the play which is mind boggling but not surprising.

Speaking of this game...leave it to Verlander to pitch his best game of the season now. DD is gonna see this and think we should buy. Mortgage the limited future we have, instead of starting a quick rebuild by selling a couple dudes who'll be gone anyways.
