    DO NOT WANT.

Would much rather have David Price who is better at everything.

So damn happy for Hamels. What a performance! If that was in fact his last start as a Phillie, what a way to go out.

In a nice touch, the Cubs local broadcast just played an audio clip of Sandy Koufax's 9/9/65 perfect game against the Cubs. Announced by none other than......Vin Scully.

Cubs couldn't quite make it to 50 years between no no's.

Yankees rocked him when he came to town. Just ask PhilliesFan13 he was there.

I do not disagree. I'd love Hamels for the right price, but I doubt that RAJ comes down enough for the Cubs to be the team pushing the hardest to get him.

I'd be okay if we stayed away from getting an "ace" level pitcher via trade all together.

Yeah, after this, he's going to be asking for a 51% ownership stake in any club as well as their top 10 prospects for Hamels.

It should be. No reason to keep a 23.5 million dollar pitcher on a last place team at the start of a rebuild. Especially when there are plenty of contending teams that desperately need starting pitching.

I don't think any GM worth his salt would offer more in a trade for him today than he would have yesterday though. Yankees are your best trade partner though IMO. You guys will get something decent for him, but nothing like what Amaro wants and today's performance will not change that.

Great performance by Hamel. Too bad I'm still losing my match up this week as both my relievers stink. Gonna go for broke before the deadline and see who I can get for Gomez, Hamels, Felix, Agon, Arod, Cain etc. Hopefully I can make the playoffs. Got nothing to lose at this point.

So glad I picked Arrieta over Hamels on Draftkings. Now Erasmo gives up a granny to Crush, hate my life.

I hope Cashman doesn't trade for him.

So in other words, this doesn't apply to Amaro? Did I interpret that correctly?

Well, yes and no. Amaro already has him so he obviously won't be offering anything for him.

But this game today shouldn't change his trade value at all when looking at the big picture.

I wouldn't be so sure. Amaro loves his own players so much that he might try to trade for them. As nonsensical as that sounds..

Oh, I know the entire AL East seems to hit him hard. I'm just fearful that being back in a playoff type position he'll pitch like he did today.

prospect price may be steep but if it was something you can live with I'd much rather have Cole Hamels contract than what Price is gonna get this offseason.
